My office directly overlooks the historic Warwick Racecourse- 300 years old this year.
As part of the modernisation of the racecourse contractors have been working for 9 months on demolishing old workshops and a derelict grandstand and replacing it with a new set of offices and a new restaurant the 1707.
I breathed a sigh of relief when the work recently finished - and a loud cheer- as the crane removed the temporary offices of the contractors and I got my view back!
In fact the view has actually improved as a semi derelict set of garages and workshops have now gone so perhaps the best view for over 70 years?
