Whilst we believe from our 20 year plus experience working in Tourism that Lammas View meets high standards of quality; it is always a pleasant feeling to receive independent vindication that it is.
Earlier this month I was delighted to receive a Four Star rating from Enjoy England, following a grading visit by two of their very experienced assessors.

We have also launched our new logo, representing the four seasons that Lammas View is open!

What's in a name?
Why choose Lammas View as the name for a holiday cottage?
In answer for good historical reasons; the town common in Warwick is known as Lammas Field and St Mary’s Land, which we overlook and Hampton Street forms the southern boundary.
The origin of “Lammas” refers to in English-speaking countries in the Northern Hemisphere, that August 1 is Lammas Day (loaf-mass day), the festival of the first wheat harvest of the year.

Changing Views
My office directly overlooks the historic Warwick Racecourse- 300 years old this year.
As part of the modernisation of the racecourse contractors have been working for 9 months on demolishing old workshops and a derelict grandstand and replacing it with a new set of offices and a new restaurant the 1707.
I breathed a sigh of relief when the work recently finished - and a loud cheer- as the crane removed the temporary offices of the contractors and I got my view back!

Getting to grips with a new computer
I recently needed a new computer, and as with most things decided to a bit of research before choosing the best model for me.
After a few false starts I decided to wave PC’s goodbye and bought the basic Apple Mac desktop.
Much to my surprise - for my purposes- the Mac was actually cheaper than a PC once you vectored in the cost of essential software.
I am very pleased with the computer it is simply vastly better than a PC running the normal prince of darkness software supplied by
